Expressing gender through nail polish?

A lot of people would knock me for creating a beauty blog, a sign of sure femininity, and being FtM transgender. However, I don't think this makes me any less trans* than anyone else. I'm pre-everything and in the closet to most of my family. I present more genderqueer than anything else, and maybe that's a label I should stick to, but I don't feel comfortable being called a she. In general I'm pretty confused about my gender. All I'm sure of is that female is not the sex I should be.

That being said, I express my confusion through my nail polish by painting my left hand. Many people have asked my why I do this, and I usually answer with "I'm confused". Those who know that I'm trans* understand. Supposedly, your left side is feminine. So that's why I do that.

I love color, I always have. My favorite nail polish of all time came out earlier this year. It's China Glaze Riveting, and it is gorgeous.

Riveting is a fiery orange with stunning gold shimmer. that simple description doesn't really describe this polish well enough for me. It's like a radical femme glitterized pumpkin in 12 o'clock sunlight- f a b u l o u s.

Pictures don't do it justice at all!
